Jessica Biel showed off her fab figure in a pair of Paige Denim High Rise Bell Canyons in Breckenridge while she was in Toronto filming the remake of Total Recall. The jeans are hugging her curves in all the right places and we love how she tucked in her blouse so that we can have the full effect of the semi high rise denim that flare at the bottom hem… but those flip flop sandals really stick a fork in the whole look! Why Jessica, Why?!

There’s no doubt that Joe’s Jeans is amongst the world’s top denim brands, but when any brand ventures into new territory, such as new jeans fits, we become a bit skeptic (jean-fit finding nightmares abound). It’s not that we have doubts about the brand, but we wonder if the silhouette looks just as good on “regular” people. Inspired by the recent Joe’s Jeans Skinny Micro Flare campaign—which looks awesome, by the way—we decided to give this buzz-inducing skinny jean flare a go.
Here I try on the medium blue “Stephanie” wash in a size 27, which fit pretty true to size on me. This silhouette is a great gateway between the skinny jean and a ’70s flare. These high-waisted jeans are soft and didn’t pinch at all. As a woman of average height, I could give these jeans an A+ if it were one inch shorter. But, then again, I can always mail my jeans to Denim Therapy for a rad chain stitch hem job.
You can shop the Joe’s Jeans Skinny Micro Flare (retails for $174) online if you want to rock the jeans!

(capsule) & Style Sight‘s email this morning tempted attendees of this year’s trade shows to enter for a chance to win a three month subscription to the trend forecasting/market inspiration service, featuring two well-clad gents in sportswear ensembles we immediately fell for (so we had to share). Their extensive denim trend reporting and forecasting make this one worth the few minutes it takes to fill out the form.

Joe’s Jeans just announced their new denim silhouette: the Skinny Micro Flare, which is a fitted jean from hip to thigh, with a “slight 17-inch flare that starts just above the ankle.” The jeans are available in Black, Tanya, and Brigitte and retails for $172 – $179.

Creative Director & Founder Joe Dahan says, “While the 70s flare jean is a key trend this season, we wanted to also offer our girl who is still in love with her skinnies, a modernized version of the 70s flare.” Check out our full Q&A with him!
The Skinny Micro Flare is available now online at joesjeans.com and will drop in stores March 15.
