If you slide your phone or your wallet into your back pocket after you’re done at the register enough times, your jeans may start to look like the image below. Miley Cyrus bares some butt cheek in the latest issue of Maxim, and naturally all we can think of is how badly she needs Denim Therapy! While this burgeoning pop star might want to let it all hang out in a pair of ripped jeans, we think most people would prefer not to have quite this much ventilation in their back side. If that’s the case with your favorite jeans, check out our expert denim repair and alteration services and see what we can do for you.
Here at Denim Therapy we understand what it means to love your favorite jeans like a significant other. We’re here to help people continue that relationship that they have with their denim.”
Owner Francine Rabinovich and denim expert Raffael Flores-Contreras are featured in the latest episode of the TheCrosby Press Denim Mythbusters! The two talk washing jeans in the ocean, raw denim addiction, and even sticking your jeans in the oven. Check it out below.
Via The Crosby Press: For Episode 3 of Denim Mythbusters, we rolled uptown to the Garment District, where our savvy denim-saving friends at Denim Therapy bring jeans back from the dead. Francine Rabinovich & Raffael Flores tell us some of the weirder solutions they’ve heard from their customers for cleaning denim, from baking jeans in an oven, to rolling around in the surf.
Jessica Alba was spotted in black skinny jeans (specifically 7 For All Mankind Slim Illusion Skinny jeans) during the 2nd weekend of Coachella. Is it just us, or is she wiping away a lone tear from her precious cheek because her favorite jeans are ripped in the knee? Okay, maybe not. But if she was, we’d be her dream come true. Denim Therapy has superior expert repair services to restore ruined jeans to their former glory (or fix up “trendy” holes that you’re not so into anymore).
Ladies and gents, MC has a new favorite pair of jeans. The latest offerings from Williamsburg Garment Company—remember when Renee reviewed their skinny jeans as a day-to-night staple?—include a medium-wash stretch denim high-waisted skinny for women. These jeans get the high score for holding flawless shape a full day of flea market prowling and a full night of dancing. They also possess the eternally sought-after slimming effect and cool details for denim-geeks to gawk at.
What was your first thought when you tried them on?
It was “Yesssss. Come to mama.” I also noticed the well proportioned back pockets (pocket size can really wreak havoc on a gal’s attempts to appear slimmer) and the cool side pocket stitching detail when I looked in the mirror. I love subtle design points that set a pair of jeans apart.
Where/when would you wear these?
I wore them to the flea market and strolling around Brooklyn, to brunch, to an insane all night dance party… no stretch or sag in the fabric. They looked and felt great. I’d wear these anywhere. I expect to get a lot of miles out of them this spring.
How’s the fit?
Love the high-rise, love the tight fit around the hips/behind, and knees. They have enough stretch for comfort but they still feel like denim, which is rare with women’s jeans. Too often it’s a free-for-all spandex blend jegging party. It’s hard to find the right balance. Aside from the feel of the fit, I was told they look great but friends and strangers while wearing them, so that probably counts for something.
Check out Williamsburg Garment Company online for more information and stockists. Be sure to check out our Q&A with WGC designer Maurice Malone if you haven’t already as well, for the method and mission behind the brand.
Actress Ashley Benson was spotted at the GUESS Hotel Pool Party showing off her Coachella style in jeans with gaping holes in the knee. Since it’s a pool party, we kind of figure she should either take those jeans off or let us fix them up.
Sienna Miller was recently spotted strolling around town with a gaping hole in her jeans. Stylish? Maybe. But not mandatory, Sienna! Denim Therapy can fix the rips in your jeans, whether you’re a celeb or not.
There are a lot of reason crotches rip. Olympic-worthy sprinting to catch the bus, biking to work because you missed the bus… and hopefully not a dog biting you because you just biked past his territory. Whatever the case may be, we’re here to help. Check out the before & after photos of what we did for this customer’s ripped jeans when they came to us.
No matter how extreme we can fix any holes and torn denim. These problems could be the result of prolonged wear, an unfortunate snag, or a specific stress point. When you open and close the button on your jeans over the years, the fibers can get worn out and break. Luckily, Denim Therapy can fix them up for you in a snap.
