You don’t have to be a denim-head to remember your first pair of jeans. Usually they’re the pair you’ve had for the longest time and have the most damage — the jeans you never want to part with. We talked to Nate, Brooklynite and denim lover, about his very first pair of jeans — green denim and corduroy bell-bottoms. See what he has to say about how he wore them to the bone and how he wishes he’d kept them so Denim Therapy could come to his rescue, nearly thirty years later.

This past weekend, fashion photographer Tommy Ton was out doing some style stalking at mens fashion week Pitti Uomo in Florence. Men (and women) braved the cold weather in their finest, and denim fashion was aplenty. We loved the casual juxtaposition between desaturated jeans and sartorial suiting complements as much as the use of denim jackets and dark wash jeans as the key element to a dressed up ensemble. Nobody was trying to show off. Right.

Let Doctrine Jeans take you back to #FNOatSaks! Relive the event frame-by-frame as Doctrine Jeans shows us some key moments at GQ Magazine’s “Authentic Denim” event at Saks Fifth Avenue—and Denim Therapy was there! If you are not already familiar with the brand, they are new on the market, founded fall 2010. Doctrine Jeans offer jeans for men and women who are more into the fit rather than glitz. Marked by clean lines and slim fits, this brand has come out of the gate strong. Subtle embroidery details, coated washes and use of selvedge on some jeans lends an understated elegance that is right on the mark for consumer demand.
Also look for The Denim Guy and Denimology, our social media hub partners for the evening. Special thanks: Video and social media hub at Saks was sponsored by Doctrine Jeans. For more information, go to Doctrine Jeans online.

Wanna beat the heat (or crazy weather) right about now? Don’t you want to jet away to somewhere like Rio de Janeiro where you can find Ashton Kutcher and Supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio hard at work at a beach side resort, looking sexy in their Colcci jeans? Watch the steamy behind-the-scenes video on the making of Colcci’s latest campaign for a mini visual escape! See Alessandra put flair into frayed cutoffs (with, or without a top!). Watch wispy-haired Ashton work white jeans into a sartorial ensemble. Denim Therapy has been stalking Colcci for a couple of years now, and we think they pulled quite a coup with signing on Ashton along with Alessandra. Check this out (but bring your own Caipirinha).

Annalynne McCord stepped out for a good cause in Black Orchid’s Black Beauty bell-bottoms in Cyberspace. The newly brunette starlet accentuated the 70’s style denim with a bright top for a youthful, yet sophisticated look at the Artists for Peace & Justice event. The look is absolutely fabulous on her long and narrow frame; it seems as if her legs are never ending especially since the jeans are hip huggers. We totally the dig the ultra skinny belt running through the loops. The 90210 starlet has been rocking the wide leg fashion every time she steps out and gets papped. But if she decided to have her jeans hemmed just a bit, Denim Therapy, would gladly help her out.

Earlier this week, we showed you how to add some feminine flare to your denim—but this week we’ve got a different kind of tip to impart. This one is unisex, and it screams “I love rock’n'roll!” Sound good? It requires a lethal cropped denim jacket, the classic denim work shirt, a pair of leather-paneled pants.

IRO Azav cropped leather jacket (on sale for $225) – buy it at The Outnet.
DKNYC Faux Leather-Front Pants ($48) – buy it at Bloomingdales.
DIESEL CHRESY-A Denim Shirt ($180) – buy it at DIESEL.
Forever 21 Buckle-Up Combat Boots ($35) – buy it at Forever 21.

Margaux L, a stylist from Paris, shows the rest of the world how to rock a denim workshirt like you mean it, topping off the look with a pair of combat boots. Check out the way she layers her denim with leather, and comes out on of the street style game.
