Denim Blogger Shows her Spring Denim Styling

If there’s any good place to turn for what’s hoppin’ & poppin’ in good denim dressing right now, we all know it’s the street. And by that we mean blog street. Any number of fashion bloggers, from the mid-west to the tropics, have an arsenal of styling tips they’re dying to put to good use. Here we take a look at one of our favorite up-and-coming bloggers (and her cute cut-off shorts). Meet Ellie of City Brewed.

Here’s what she had to say on her short-short looks:

“I’m a huge fan of denim shorts paired with leggings. With an oversized tee, a great pair of denim, and some of your favorite leggings, you really can’t go wrong! In the first photo, I am wearing Abercrombie denim shorts and a Zumiez brand t-shirt for a day of lunch and thrifting. In the second photo I opted for another pair of Abercrombie jean shorts (this time a stretch fit) with an Urban Outfitters tee and Forever 21 wedge heels. Though I’m all about Abercrombie in these pics, I have to confess that my favorite brand for denim is Levi’s

Follow Ellie on her blog, City Brewed, as she writes about her NYC-life and the styles she braves it with. Check out our previous denim blogger showcases, with Jinna of Grease & Glamour, and Lauren of Cotton Wool Clouds.

Denim Blogger Lauren Wearing Miso Skinny Jeans

In the second installment of the denim-savvy fashion blogger showcase, we hand the mic to Lauren of Cotton Wool Clouds. We love her quirky personality and casual-cool style sense. Her blog includes her travel diary, fashion tid bits, and outfit posts that consistently include visual styling tips on how to work your denim. She prepped these photos for us of her favorite denim outfit of the moment.

Lauren loves this look for being “cool and country” with a bit of edge. The grey Miso skinny jeans (sold in Republic in England) add a fashion-forward hint with attention paid to the length of the jeans (“They fit so well and end just at the ankle, without any gathering of material”).  Flannel and denim is a timeless combo, and a flash of clean white sneakers are the perfect punctuation.

“My favourite brand is Levi’s,” Lauren tells us, “they’re the classic jeans. Skinnies are my favourite, so versatile, but I do wear slouch and boyfriend fit also. Flares aren’t really my thing, but perhaps one day in the future!”  Be sure to check out Lauren’s blog, Cotton Wool Clouds, to keep and eye on this ambitious blogger’s travels & style.
