We went by our favorite denim staples for any man, for every occasion this spring, and pulled out several solid pieces that can be worn and loved for many seasons: (1) the denim jacket, (2) the denim shirt, and the various cuts of jeans that are fashion director approved: (3) the slim fit jean, (4) the straight leg and (5) a men’s skinny jean. The next question is, can you choose just one?

Amsterdam-based DENHAM launches February 10 in the U.S. at American Rag in Los Angeles; with a special presentation and installation, the event will showcase an entirely hand-assembled and handsewn men’s “Skinner” jean as well as innovative Denham signatures such as the “Duty” M65 style jacket. A full men’s and women’s line, including premium denim will be offered.
2. If you’re looking for cheap jeans that don’t look cheap, then check out Mango‘s current denim sale, where you can find a large assortment of skinny to flared jeans for less than $40.00.

Praise the heavens, the Gods of Denim have finally arrived!… but they only carry five brands? Denimology reports that three international buddies got together and decided to start up an online denim store—Gods Of Denim. When we first heard the name, the mental picture was something like Greek statuesque ripped dudes in heroic poses holding flags with ever denim brand ever embroidered on them. (Okay, our imaginations are a tad vivid). But they’re not quite there yet. Their initial brand picks are Denham The Jeanmaker, Denim Demon, Jean Shop, Momotaro and Pace Jeans. And while that might keep things simple, we’ll have to wait and see whether this retailer lives up to their name-legacy.
