We found a few Japanese fashion labels that seem to share their own idea of what spring and summer should be about. And boy, are the perspectives different! First, Christian Dada suggests writing poetry and spending late nights out with your punk attitude in check, and don’t mind the occasional snags caused by your spiked denim jacket. On a lighter note, Labrat reminds us of California summers out by Venice Beach where Hipsters and Hippies both hang in their vintage jeans and cut-offs; and finally, Revionnet wants us to think of simpler times while sporting “little girl dresses” or relaxed denim shirts made completely in denim. We sense Alexa Chung may have played a role as a muse in the girly feel of this collection.

As it is beginning to get colder out, it can be hard to find the right thing to wear to keep warm, but not too warm. Thankfully, jean jackets are just the thing to get the job done, and (bonus!) look great while doing it. Wondering what goes with a jean jacket? Lucky for you, the guys over at Gilt MANual have laid it out for us plain and simple!
“What are the options to match with a light denim jacket?
Sunglasses. A white T-shirt. A white button-down. A white button-down with a tie. A blue button-down. A blue button-down with a tie. A pink button down… but probably not with a tie. A corduroy shirt. A flannel. Chinos. Of any color. Well, maybe except bright red. Cargo pants. Dark denim jeans. Light denim jeans. Cords. Cutoffs. A vintage watch.”
