Menswear street style is popping up more often around here and that’s because we’re all about seeing dapper dudes pull out their summer style in all the right aways. Case in point? This street style shot from Mark C., a student form Nottingham is totally rocking. His look, as he states it, is simple-yet-complex. The denim workshirt accompanied by cropped black slacks and thin black suspenders goes from casual to charming-as-hell (and a little enticingly flamboyant as well). The black hat and shoes make the look a study in silhouette and contrast rather than texture and color, though you can’t hold back a denim shirt from infusing those two elements, too. Bravo, Mark!

We’re taking today’s denim tip from the editor in chief of Refinery29, Christene Barberich. If you follow the site, her style has proven worth emulating time after time, and this is no exception. Christene paired her vintage Levi’s denim vest with a blazer and dark green cropped pants. The hem length and white flats make this a perfect transitional outfit for this on-and-off spring weather that’s still teasing us (and making getting dressed nearly impossible in the morning). She pairs the look with a leopard print scarf and a large tote for a touch of luxury. Perfecto!
