The G-Star Raw by Marc Newson Spring 2012 Collection is all about outerwear and classic denim cuts. We’re a big fan of the aqua hooded jacket which is great for those those rainy spring days, but also a bright enough to keep our spirits up! After all, who wants clothing that makes them look and feel gloomy? Not us! The jean jacket stands out thanks to the contrast stitching and two-tone denim collar & pockets. The dark-wash jeans also caught our eye thanks to the faded blue to white cuffs. Definitely an interesting look but we would really only like them paired with something that matches that electric blue shade–not always an easy task. The collection will be available in the coming months at the G-Star Raw Online Shop.

This fashion blogger shows us how easy it is to bring colored denim into fall and not look like we’re heading to the beach! While the nude crew necked sweater by itself is a bit too conservative for us, the bright red skinny jeans make for the perfect combo of sugar and spice! This girl shows how you can still rock bright colors but you just need to tone down the other pieces in your outfit. This look gets finished off just right by the matching nude ballet flats, which we think were a really smart decision because heels could’ve easily taken this look from classy to trashy. So next time you’re wondering if an outfit is too much, just remember, it’s all about balance, baby!
