The Colombian textile industry is revving up for an eco-focused surge in business with the release of “EcoDenim” at the recent Colombiatex Show (the regions largest textile trade show). The textile is partially made from recycled plastic bottles and open the door further for the eco-fashion movement that’s been firing up in the fashion world. German jeansmaker Werner–Eickelmann was the first to close a deal with the EcoDenim label. If successful this textile will do its part to reduce waste that would otherwise be sitting in the landfills of the earth for 100 years or more. We’d say this is a step in the right direction.
