While you probably waded through a hundred different festival style round-ups after Coachella, we’ve saved the best for last. Check out these photos we snapped while our very own Renee was rocking out for three days in the sun. She not only donned a few awesome outfits, but she spotted some great spring & summer denim trends along the way.
“Here I am in neon bathing suit top, NARS lipstick in Heat Wave, True Religion top (love the tiny floral print), and cut-offs that I made from an old pair of Banana Republic jeans.”
“This girl’s crocheted crop top and Topshop high waisted shorts more or less summed up the statement of the weekend. We love the way her skinny belt sits in her over-sized belt loops.”
“These ladies were covering all of the summer trend bases: fedora, cut offs, acid wash, crochet/lace crop tops, florals, fanny packs, cross body fringe bags…”
“Here’s me in floral Anthropologie top and True Religion shorts—these clothes so are good for chilling out, Coachella-style!”
“And finally, my favorite outfit to end the post! A navy blue lace Free People top, Target bathing suit (necessary to layer something underneath there unless you’re a total exhibitionist, which actually isn’t that uncommon at festivals), and True Religion shorts.”

In the grand scheme of Coachella style round-ups being posted on our favorite blogs this week (ours is coming along too, stay tuned!), we were happy to stumble upon the number one trend noted by Fashionista of the festive tiny dancers and PYT’s roaming the grassy plains all weekend:
“Denim cut-offs aren’t going anywhere. Yes the reign of the shredded, itty-bitty shorts continue. We can’t say we’re upset!” —Fashionista
We can’t say we’re upset either. Images via Fashionista: Check out their Coachella trend roundup!

Paige Premium denim is one of those brands you get to know and love over time. The jeans make sense. The fit is awesome, the washes are always extremely attractive, and on top of that, the brand (founded by Paige Adams-Geller, a former fit model) prides itself on being one that does not exclude the non-size-zero’s from finding a stellar pair of jeans to look and feel great in. Read on to find out who Paige’s biggest competition is and what she thinks you should wear to Coachella!
Denim Therapy: Lets start from the beginning. How did you know you wanted to be a designer?
Paige: Before I started Paige, I had spent many years working as a very successful fit model for the top denim brands in the US. I worked for all male designers in the premium denim market and felt there was a need for the female perspective in the industry. I had also been searching for my purpose in life and for my passion. Fashion is certainly a passion and my purpose is to help make others feel great about themselves.
DT: Are there other denim brands you consider your immediate competition? How do you differentiate yourself from the hundreds of popular denim brands afloat right now?
Paige: Other denim brands that I feel are my immediate competition are any brands in my field. I always try to stay on top of my game and strive to be the best. I actually compete mostly with myself. I feel as though Paige is a brand that is the perfect combination of cutting edge fashion and great fitting basics. I think that is our best feature and what makes us stand out along with our quality and fabrics.
DT: Do you have any pre-designing rituals?
Paige: Yes I do…and every girl has her secret!
DT: Describe the person who represents your ideal target customer—the customer you have in mind when you’re planning a collection.Paige: I would say the target customer is a woman or man who is fashionable and cares about how he or she looks. He or she has some money to spend and aspires to own a great pair of jeans that will make him or her feel amazing. The ideal customer is a trend setter with class and sophistication.
DT: Can you give us hint about what’s next for next season?
Paige: I am really excited about the Bell Canyon Flare and the Jimmy Jimmy Boyfriend Shorts in Tiger Lily that are coming out in about a month or two. They are the perfect authentic denim wash to kick back in or go to an outdoor music event like Coachella. They are so comfortable they feel like I’ve had them for years. I am also slightly obsessed with the Silverlake Shorts in corduroy. The colors are amazing – Rust, Sierra and Naples Blue. I always love the Lou Lou Tulip Flare in White, they are a skinny that flares just before the ankle to make your legs look miles long.
DT: What would be your dream collaboration? Any plans of that in the future? Paige: My dream collaboration happened with shoe designer Terry De Haviland. They are coming out any day. We’re offering two adorable peep toe ankle booties in Crete Olive and Masai Gray and two slip on platforms in our famous camo print and our McKinley wash with studs. I am definitely addicted to shoes!
DT: What are the most popular washes/fits in the line? What are your favorites, and how would you style them?
Paige: The most popular styles in the collection are the Verdugo Jeggings and Skyline Skinnies. I love the Jeggings in every wash. I have been wearing my Dillon Jeggings in Baroque a lot lately. I tuck them into my high heeled Prada combat ankle booties that lace up and pair them with my Paige Victoria Blouse in Black and our Ridley Leather Jacket. My warm weather favorites are the Lou Lous in Vinyl or Scene paired with my Alaia platforms and a flowy blouse.
DT: Do you have any favorite/least favorite denim trends right now?
Paige: My favorite trend is definitely skinnies. The Skyline Ankle Peg is perfect for this time of year because it can be worn with any shoe from flats, sandals, boots, ankle boots, platforms or wedges. You can wear them if you are tall as an ankle grazer or if you are petite as a full length.
DT: Street style and style blogs are huge in the industry right now as a source of inspiration, influencing the high end labels rather than vice versa. How much does street style influence your designing?
Paige: Street style influences me a great deal. I can see jeans and styles in stores but I want to know what people are really wearing and how they style themselves. I like to make sure that within the Paige line, you can find a jean that flatters and be able to style it your own way.
DT: How many pairs of denim do YOU own?
Paige: Goodness, tons in my house and then more in my office! I don’t think I can even begin to count.
