Do you ever wonder what designers wear back stage at fashion shows? We scoured through the recent spring-summer 2012 fashion shows to see who should, might and could rock a pair of jeans, even under intense stress and poorly-ventilated conditions. One of the first names who came to mind were Rick Owens, Rad Hourani, Robert Geller, Frida Giannini (Gucci) and Sharon Wauchob (Edun); but sadly, they did not deliver. Mind you, most designers pop their heads out for only a few seconds before running back from whence they came. However, the photogs were able to capture these 15 designers who chose to take a bow in jeans. Who do you think rocked their look?

1. Our good friend and fellow denim-head The Denim Guy is embarking on his own Raw Denim Project, with a pair of AG jeans.
2. Kanye West looks great in these destroyed vintage levi’s jeans! We’re not usually huge fans of Kanye’s styling, but this time he nailed a classic look, and we love it.
3. Go behind the scenes with James Jeans and see what their latest lookbook production involved. Hint: lush greenery and denim!
4. Want a fresh perspective? We love the Dr. Denim blog. It’s loaded with anecdotal photography and (of course) great jeans.
5. Chanel wasn’t the first or last to conjure up denim-inspired nail polish, but now it’s sure to become a trend. NUBAR has released a line of denim inspired colors for about $20.00.

Monday Monday, so good to me…if only I could wake up to a cup of hot coffee and a brand new Chanel Coco Cocoon quilted Bowler bag sent to me for free. Oh, how nice that would be!
Well, my motto has always been “champagne wishes and caviar dreams”, nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it. So, come-come my friends, take a look at a few denim related items that I adore that may tickle your fancy.
Acne, “Ambition to Create Novel Expressions”, the fantastic Swedish denim company continues to create beautiful and contemporary collections season after season. For their RTW SS2010 collection, featured are body-con jeans with futuristic metallic glam. Without a doubt, to be a bold statement and conversation piece. There are so many ways you can wear these jeans, but for a chic and well curated look, keeping things simple with neutral colors is the way to go. J’adore!

Ladies, when you’re out on the prowl dressed in your sexiest jeans, what’s the denim jean’s wing-man? Shoes, of course. Let’s talk about the perfect way to lure in that cute boy you’ve been eyeing with some captivating sexy footwear. Before you know it, you’ll have to beg the poor pup to “heel boy heel!”
Here are a few “IT” boots and shoes that are currently hot! In addition, more sizzling trends for the upcoming season as inspiration and lower priced alternatives to get your juices flowing!
Ice-Ice Baby! Nicolas Ghesquiere for Balenciaga had the mind blowing rubber and latex boot this F/W. These futuristically architectural boots are something that I would imagine wearing around in Superman’s ‘Fortress of Solitude’. Illuminating and avant garde, with these on you will be a force to reckon with! One trend to look out for this coming spring and summer are lucite heels. Check out Stella McCartney’s gorgeous lucite-heeled sandals from her S/S 09 collection (inquire at Stella McCartney stores for more info and price). I would go as minimal in dress as possible to showcase both the shoes and your oh-so-fine figure and derriere. Get a jump start on the jumpsuit trend and try these shoes with Thayer’s denim romper ($169, www.shopbop.com).
But for most of us, who’s kryptonite is the paralyzing recession, let’s take a look at more modest takes on the two styles. Nothing can compare to the Balenciagas so we won’t even try, but there are plenty of fashionable alternatives. If you want to invest in a pair of pricey shoes, make sure that they are either really special or classics that you can keep forever. Otherwise, ride the trend wave and shop around for the best inspired looks at bargain basement prices.
