1. This one’s for the raw denim loversRawr Denim is celebrating their 100th article with a comprehensive guide to raw denim, and why it’s so awesome.

2. The Denim Guy posted up his recount of the Fashion’s Night Out Saks adventure (which our LA team collaborated with him on last week). Check out our post on the event too!

3. We heard through the grape vine that fashion industry pretty boys Jack McCullough and Lazaro Hernandez are launching a new Proenza Schouler denim line. With a launch date sometime this winter, it seems like a new wave of product to obsess over is fast approaching.

4.More Rihanna x Armani Jeans are out (as you may recall, we weren’t thrilled at our first look) and they seem to be a little more along the lines of what we expected from the two epic names. In a word, these are actually sexy.

5. Eat Sleep Denim has rounded up a few key denim trends seen on the runway so far during NYFW. How many of these will you be endorsing in the fall?

Mac Jeanius Makeup Campaign


When the MAC Jeanius line first hit the market, we were super-amused by the denim textured makeup palette (and the concept of mixing a textile so industrial with something ultimately feminine). Now that the new ad campaign is out, we’re totally sold. The photos feature a cool-blue model against a wall of denim (looks kind of like our office on a busy day!) with a healthy dose of double stitching across her chisled face. Awesome. Add to that the fact that girls with pompadours are the coolest, and you’ve got a perfect formula for rad. Check it out below.

Nasty Gal’s Newest Campaign: Summer Denim Styling Tips


As it finally hits a steady 50-something degrees outside, and warmer climates are already sliding into shoulder-bearing sheer tops, cut-off shorts, and nautical shoes, it’s time to dive right in to S/S denim paradise. Nasty Gal’s newest campaign is (as usual) ripe with super-hip ideas about everything from how to rock bohemian lounge-wear on the beach to bringing sparkling platforms back into action. Only the brave might translate the looks literally, but all of these are basis for inspiration (and below, some more literal styling looks from their e-commerce catalog.

Diesel Island: Sexy Pics From The New Denim Campaign


Yesterday we introduced you to the Diesel Island campaign, which is amusing us more and more by the second—last night we downloaded our virtual Diesel Island passport (for easy entry? ‘Cause customs trouble would sort of go against their entire manifesto) where there’s space for a “flattering full body photograph” and page after page of enticing photos showcasing the promising life you’re about to embark towards. We’re not gonna lie—some of these shots have us eyeing our suitcases too. Check out the revolutionary parade of bohemian sex appeal and denim eye-candy below.

AG Jeans Short Film Makes Denim-Designing Look Sexy


Ever wonder what guys think about in bed? If they’re denim experts, they’re probably fitting you for jeans and you don’t even know it! …Or so AG Jeans would like us to believe. Their promotional video features a sultry love scene (possibly NSFW) and in the follow-up, our romantic denim designer ventures to pick some cotton, source some textiles, and have sample jeans made, all with his shirt mysteriously unbuttoned. But does our hero get the girl? Watch and find out!

Summer is Bershka S/S’11 Campaign


The title says it all, Summer is Bershka! With a youthful incandescence and sense of humor this Spring/Summer 2011 campaign is perfection! We’re loving the eclectic mix of Americana meets collegiate, meets western, meets grunge, meets all kinds of retro, and rock. A lot to take in, isn’t it? One thing is for sure, Bershka definitely stays true to it roots and keeps it young, fresh, and summer-ready.   Here are some of our favorite images from the campaign:

Rock Your Jeans In Retro Style: Blanco Jeans S/S 2011


With its always uninhibited spirit and promise to produce affordable and of-the-moment fashion, Blanco gives us a 1950s inspired collection that won’t  leave you looking like a square.  Styled with a Rock-a-Billy sensibility, the Spring Summer 2011 Rock Your Jeans campaign showcases an array of denim pieces from body-hugging sweetheart neckline dresses to denim jackets, and of course the iconic rolled up jeans in deep indigos. Models Vladimir Ivanov and Sheila Marquez might not be the quintessential Danny Zuko and Betty Rizzo, but we’re okay with that because we’re loving this campaign.

Abbey Lee Kershaw Gets Saucy for Moussy


Of-the-moment model Abbey Lee Kershaw gets super-saucy for Moussy‘s Fall 2010 campaign. Moussy is a Japanese streetwear brand with a heavy emphasis on sex appeal and denim. The ads won’t run in glossies here, but the shots you’ll find at Fashion Gone Rogue create a similarly fulfilling experience between seductive ad and consumer.

Shot by Yasutomo Ebisu, this set makes head-to-toe denim basics look as magnificent as eveningwear. The extreme perm adds a playful touch, and darling Abbey even makes a spelling error in her black-marker love letter. A bit of naivety mixed with sex appeal creates something playful and notoriously Japanese—a perfect playing field for versatile denim looks.
