Sometimes people think of denim and they immediately think of a casual look, but this fashion blogger proves them wrong. She dresses up the denim on denim trend in such an easy way by adding sheer tights, black lace-up booties and a simple blazer to her light-wash denim work shirt and high-waisted jeans shorts. The loose bow around the collar along with the touch of gold in the braided belt give this outfit a really polished look. The best thing about this outfit though, is how you can not only use it as a go-to for dressing up denim, but also as an inspiration for your style and mix and match these pieces however you would like.
If you haven’t caught on by now, we’ll say it one more time: western wear is in! For those of you that are unsure about this trend, just take a hint from fashion blogger Thilda. She shows how effortless this look can be by pairing a black cowboy hat with our favorite closet staples: a fringed t-shirt, denim cut-off shorts, and braided belt. So it’s time to embrace your inner cowboy and cowgirl and live it up like it’s the Wild, Wild West (we’re taking this as an excuse to head to the nearest
happy hour saloon).

Alright guys, so you know we’re all about being on the edge of cool but one thing that we definitely know is a must-have for summer is an effortlessly casual and classic look. And nothing hits an outfit with a perfect dose of class than a pair timeless khaki trousers. We totally dig how Oleg P. has taken this idea and thrown in a light wash denim workshirt for a perfect classic-on-classic number. We like how he manages to keep things current by throwing on a simple roman sandal and how the braided belt hints just enough color to add some interest. The Lennon-style sunnies are definitely an ace detail too. Casual classics and modern twists plus denim? Summer-ready and DT approved to say the least!

Here’s a tip on how to make your spring/summer denim separates a tad more feminine, whatever the wash: a floral blouse, leather braided belt (in mahogany or maroon), and a pretty painted mouth will add a lady-like touch that won’t interfere with your baby-blue’s. here are a few picks we love to achieve this look.
Denim of Virtue Boyfriend Cut-Off Shorts ($194) – buy it at National Jean Company.
Revlon Matte Lipstick in Pink Pout ($7) – buy it at Ultra Beauty.
Forever 21 Darling Floral Chiffon Top ($19) – buy it at Forever 21.
Cole Haan saddle leather ‘Genevieve’ braided wide belt ($69) – buy it at BlueFly.
Want to see how this combo pans out in-person? Tasha B of London pulls it off with ease, finishing the look with laced flat shoes and a top-knot hair style. Go further with a sweep of cat-like eyeliner and a collar buttoned up to the top. We love it!
