These look like generic black cut-offs from afar, but upon closer inspection the “fringe” is actually an adorable lace trim. After seeing the BLANK NYC spring 2012 collection up close, we knew we were going to be psyched when the full line was revealed in lookbook form for spring 2012. The line ranges from rich, dark washes to baby-blue jeans, featuring fashion-forward separates like denim tunic dresses and workshirts to style with. Our favorites? A pair of stovepipe-legged medium-wash, mid-rise jeans that scream bohemian summer, and the range of colored ankle-crop skinnies that beg to be worn with a fierce pair of heels and a man’s tailored shirt. We have to give props for the form-fitting overalls, too: a valiant attempt at turning an accepted frumpy classic into something far more feminine. Check out the full lookbook below.

Kristin Cavallari gets our applause this morning for looking awesome upon arriving at LAX in a pair of [BLANKNYC] Spray On jeans. While we’ve spotted her in both the “Nightchild” and “Heavy Dose” wash (two dark-wash options from one of our favorite brands), the former look was our favorite. She kept the color story neutral and wore a super-chic cropped two-tone jacket. No jewelry or frou-frou. Good call, Kristin!

Emma Roberts was spotted leaving a nail salon in Beverly Hills in a cozy striped knit sweater teamed with khaki [Blank NYC ] Carpenter skinny jeans. Emma accessorized her look with a funky red fringed shoulder bag and black sunnies. The post-pedicure white flip-flops are not something you want to be photographed in, but we give her props for looking great from the ankles up.

From what we saw while previewing the Blank NYC spring 2012 line, the brand intends to keep it rock’n'roll with destroyed denim (we loved their super-short white shredded cut-offs) and even some whimsical, skull-shaped studs. They showed us a pair of black jeans with destroyed back pockets and ghastly little faces partially lining the contour (the missing studs are intentional and create the look of worn-in-beat-up). The cut-offs were adorned with boho belts, and in a more preppy turn of aesthetics, pastel denim was abound. Two picks we adored were the pastel denim pencil skirts. They also showed classics like basic washes in your standard styles and a covetable denim workshirt.

With Halloween around and everyone making their apple picking & pumpkin patch visits on the weekend, there are two things to remember. First, the stars love a good pumpkin just as much as you do. Secondly, jeans make the perfect uniform for the causal-yet-taxing task of lugging your seasonal orange accessory around! Blake Lively was seen with pumpkin in hand hailing down a taxi in Rag & Bone/JEAN Zipper Jeans—we’re pretty sure this is a still from Gossip Girl. Her outfit had a bit of animal instinct with a Theodora & Callum clouded leopard haircalf biarritz espadrille and a Lanvin felt hat. Off duty Kristin Cavallari was seen wearing a pair of [BLANKNYC] Spray On jeans in Heavy Dose. The Dancing With The Stars contestant employed a bit of Navajo-inspired styling… and her pumpkins? Much smaller than Blake’s!
