Urban Outfitters & Levi’s have teamed up to celebrate the release of the 511 Commuter, a biking-inspired line of jean jacket and bottoms that can handle your bike riding with function and style. They’ve rigged up a mobile bike shop to take on the road from city-to-city, featuring bike tuning with their expert mechanic, customized tailoring for your Levi’s 511 Commuter jeans, a DIY workshop, and more. We’re really amused by this playful series shot by Andreas Sjodin of Norwegian model Siri Toller?d, face contorted into quizzical stares, bike tire and wrench at hand. With knees cut and dirt smudged all over her worse-for-wear denim outfits, she’s a refreshing departure from ultra-glam denim editorials (though you know we love those too!), and she brings it right back to the beginning: Denim as a utility fabric (that just happens to look absolutely amazing).
