Winter is a great time of year to rock that jeans and boots look, no matter what type of boots or fit of jean. With the right pair of jeans, you’ll have months of hassle-free street style looks. Have you tried on a pair of coated jeans yet? Let’s just say, not all coated denim are made equal. Recently, Denim Therapy had the chance to review a pair of DL1961 Emma jeans in Wick. These are black coated denim leggings made with X-Fit 4-way stretch jeans, so you don’t have to suffer to look great. I am wearing the Emma in a size 26 with a 32″ inseam. Although I’m not very tall, these jeans fit me perfectly from hip to ankle. Even as these are low-rise jeans (about 8 1/2″ rise), I was impressed with its contoured waistband, which prevented puckering at the back. Equally impressive was how the waistband was cut near the front: slightly higher on the sides so there was no pinching at the hip bones. One thing to note: the non-rubbery coating is only on the outside, so the interior is soft.

Reality starlet Kristin Cavallari looked summer-chic-to-a-T as she arrived for lunch at the posh eatery, The Farm. She was wearing a loose gray Helmut Lang looped silk asymmetric sweater top, J Brand Ankle Skinny white jeans and a pair of white platform sandals. It’s a good thing she’s getting all her denim-wearing in done in public these days, since she’s rumored to have signed on to appear as a contender in Dancing With The Stars (that means dresses only). But jokes aside, this look is so cute. We love the easy-to-wear palette and how it softens her whole appearance, from top and bottom to bag and shoes.

Sarah Michelle Geller and her daughter (mini Freddie Prinze Jr.) were out taking a stroll when they were snapped in a moment of mother-daughter style. Hot mama Sarah was wearing a Joie Ladonna striped sweater along with her J Brand 10′ Ankle Skinny Jeans. We like the ankle length when paired with ballerina flats. Although, the look can certainly work very well with heels. We also like that she accessorized very simply so that the overall tight jean style doesn’t draw too much attention. Nice job, SMG!
