J. Crew‘s awesome sister company, Madewell, has released their Spring 2012 lookbook, and we are totally in love! They’re touting loose-fitting, light-wash denim overalls, faded bell-bottoms, distressed boyfriend jeans, and, of course, their signature denim button-up shirt. Not to mention lots of polka dots, plaids, and touches of super bright pinks, yellows, and greens. Yes, yes, and OH yes! Come on, springtime!

Forget the cat walk! Everyone knows the real excitement in recent years of Paris Fashion Week (and global fashion week, for that matter) is what everyone’s wearing when they’re walking to/from shows, or hanging out backstage. Off-duty ensembles are on the same level of sought-after as street style, so when you’re looking for styling tips, direct your eyes accordingly. Here are a few of our favorite babes in killer denim outfits at Paris Fashion Week.
Always hip and trending with a bit of off kilter cool, Alexa Chung styled up one of designer’s Stella McCartney LDDs (little denim dresses) for an easy look. She paired her denim sheath with moss-hued Chloé snakeskin pumps and a boxy satchel.
The beautiful Poppy Delevingne was spotted in Paige Denim Verdugo Ultra Skinny at Miu Miu. We are loving the python print jeans that she paired with a leather jacket and cable knit sweater.
It girl and uber-chic stylist Caroline Sieber was also attending the Miu Miu show rocking a pair of ultra short cut-off shorts with some mega stilettos. You don’t have to be in fashion to know fashion, but this is a look we are going to steal—STAT!
Supermodel Miranda Kerr takes to the stage just as graciously as she does behind the scenes whilst attending the Stella McCartney show. She showed us how to strut your stuff in a mini cut off denim skirt. She paired the destroyed denim bottom with an oversized tee, a black blazer, and booties. We love the retro shades too.

We’ve been known to break a few rules in our time. One of them was “No white after labor day”. White jeans? We’re still wearing them. Another is an unspoken rule that sweet, pastel hues are off limits once fall’s chill sets in (and as of this morning in NYC, the chill has more than set). But Alexa Chung and Madewell have teamed up to give you one big reason why it’s going to be more than just “ok” to wear pastels clear into October. The latest collaboration, with a lookbook styled by Alexa herself, is hitting the stores September 22nd—and guess what it has! Pastel pink jeans! Of course, there’s traditional medium-wash blue jeans in the collection as well, so you don’t need to be a huge risk taker to wear this line.

4. Something is way off about this denim dress ensemble Alexa Chung is wearing, and we can’t quite put our finger on it. Maybe it’s her posture, or it’d look cuter with an up-do?
5. We’re not even that crazy about these denim bikini designs, but it’s still summer and we’ll be damned if we don’t post some photos of girls lounging next to the water in swimsuits!

Not even the rain could stop this model from dancing around in the mud—with extra-long legs and Hunter wellies, she’s perfectly equipped! Just this weekend at the Glastonbury Festival, Poppy Delevigne, who is known to socialize with royalty, took part in the music festivities in Paige Premium Denim Verdugo leggings. She also had on a button-down chambray denim shirt hanging loosely over a white graphic t-shirt and yet another layer of warmth added with the Barbour jacket (classic brit-chic).

Fashion It-Girl Alexa Chung is officially collaborating with Madewell, and we’re all holding our breath to see (and shop) the newest collection of must-have items from this classic-cool line and one of our style icons (get on their mailing list to keep up to date on the launch). By now, you probably already know that fashion’s It Girl Alexa Chung really likes denim, and is particularly infatuated with denim shorts. Whether at the Glastonbury Music Festival, a magazine photo shoot or a ‘W’ hotel opening, as pictured in this photo below, you can count on Alexa to show some leg. We’re really digging the little girl meets saucy West Londoner look she’s pulled together. With her second collaboration with Madewell just out, you know this won’t be the last celebrity style sighting of Alexa in jeans, a denim jacket or of her parading around in sexy little denim hotpants for that matter.

I typically like to focus on what’s up-and-coming in world of fashion, but when I came across the Fall/Winter 2010 campaign for Pepe Jeans I simply had to redirect my attention to the present. But let me tell you, they didn’t make it too difficult for me to do so. I’m talking moody, black and white images, great styling, and one of our favorite denim muses, Alexa Chung.

This marks Chungs second campaign for Pepe Jeans. The brand was brilliant to sign up the British it-girl last season for their Spring/Summer advertising campaign, and are wise to bring her back for another one. Though her time with MTV is done and over with this model turned presenter turned model again is definitely still on the radar of many, many fashion enthusiast making her a bonafied fashion commodity.

Giving the campaign a little masculine touch are Spanish it-boy Jon Kortajarena–who is my personal favorite male denim muse–and up-and-coming French fresh face, Gaspard Menier. The two add that little bit of that rugged beauty which further compliment Chungs gorgeous yet street chic appeal. You can see more of the 20 black-and-white images on the Pepe Jeans website.
