Look who wishes she grew up in the ’90s! Miley Cyrus was recently spotted rocking her new short-short bleach blonde haircut, some denim cut-off shorts, and a flannel tied around her waist. To top it all off, a giant gold chain is looped around her neck. This is how much of the DT staff used to dress in middle school. Will a new wave of grunge-chic hit the masses after this?

German brand Ethel Vaughn‘s lookbook for their fall 2011 menswear collection may not exactly be an actual great outdoors adventure, but we gotta say we dig it nonetheless. Aside from the overall killer 90s meets wilderness boy vibe they’ve got going on, we are really loving all the cool denim duds styled into the mix. Easy to wear chambray shirts layered under denim jackets and sweaters with cool patchwork details look cool with loose fit jeans and cords (totally 90s). But our absolute favorite is definitely an ultra-rad boxy denim tee. Check out the full lookbook bellow!

April77 is a French unisex sportswear line with an emphasis on cotton corduroy, open end denim, oxford, cotton twill, and gabardine. While you may think pop-colors and acid wash when the ’90s come into mind, their fall 2011 collection tells a different kind of story: one more along the lines of grunge rock’n'roll and oversized button-up shirts. Cuffed straight-leg jeans, dark washes, and worn-in denim jackets are some of the gems you’ll find in this line. They’ll ship the US and their styles include muted colors, skinny fits, raw denim, and Japanese selvedge. Prices range from around $100 to $200.

When it comes to vintage-cool looks blogger Luanna of Peru has it all figured out. We crush over all of her retro-made-modern looks, but this one is definitely our favorite. Her oversized vintage acid wash denim jacket cuffed at the sleeve looks killer over this undeniably cute off-white crochet dress. We ain’t gonna lie—this perfect 80s meets 90s mix (which totally has us feeling a bit nostalgic) has us planning our next thrifting spree ASAP!

This week’s mood board is a tribute to the 90s phenomenon acid washed denim—it may have become big in the 90s, but you can’t escape it these days! Fashion blogs and retail sites prove that i’ s experiencing another intense reign over the world of denim trends, from hand-dyed DIY jeans and bags to high-end designer installments. This prime example of vintage-cool has affixed itself back onto the rock’n'roll lifestyle, and we can tell it won’t go anywhere soon.

Japanese menswear label Glamb never ceases to completely blow us away with it’s always eclectic and laid back style. Think vintage nomad with a rebellious street edge true to the scene that is Japanese street style. Consisting of unique pieces that could very well have been taken straight out of a vintage shop the label’s Summer 2011 lookbook has everything from worn-in patchwork jeans to psychedelic geometric graphic t-shirts designed to emulate a tie-dye effect (totally 90s), and even a denim kimono! Overall, everything you need for a killer summer look with some serious street style cred. Bold? Yes. Awesome? Definitely!
