J Brand Martini Flare Skinny Jeans

Been shopping for flared jeans?  Get the skinny on J Brand‘s latest ‘70s style jeans: the Martini Flare.  Retailing from $167 to $185, it’s a bell bottom jean with a vintage silhouette and a modern, smaller bell.  Unlike the Joe’s Jeans Skinny Micro Flare jeans we reviewed recently, which only has  a slight flare from the ankle down, the Martini opens up gradually into a moderate bell bottom starting below the knee.  If you really want to try the latest seventies-inspired jeans, then the Martini Flare jean is a good bell bottom to test the waters.  We are loving this skinny jean with a slight wide leg because of its slimming and leg-lengthening look.  We think the Martini Flare skinny bell bottom will be your new go-to jeans to wear for summer through fall.

New York Blogger & Aspiring Actress Shows Her Spring Denim Style

This morning we take a look at denim through the eyes of jean-lover Jerrica Navarro, an aspiring actress and fashion blogger born and raised in New York City. Jerrica says her playful, chic style reflects her down-to-earth personality and urban sensibility. We had her send some snaps of her favorite outfits, like the denim short jumpsuit, high-waisted skirt & jacket paired with a deep v-neck and leather belt, and classic white t-shirt & flare leg jeans combo. Check it out below.

“I have a love hate relationship with denim. It seems as though there are a million options to try but very few meet my needs (kinda like men). When I finally find that one fantastic pair of jeans I usually live in them, and pretty much suck the life out of them. Some of my favorites are from BDG, Forever 21Abercrombie and Fitch, Club Monaco the Gap, Topshop, and some cool stuff I find while thrift shopping. I loath the word jeggings but love denim with extra stretch (I’m aways on the move, so I need it).”

See more of Jerrica’s looks at her blog, Fashionnostalgia.

Flare Jeans, Street Style

One of the leading denim trends right now is the ’70s style flare leg jeans, but is anybody really wearing it off the pages of a magazine?  Who What Wear has documented a few stylish ladies from the Stockholm streets to New York City.  Note from WWW: do not go all-out and take the ’70s vibe literally.  You can look elegant and on-trend by pairing your fluid wide leg jeans with a structured blazer or a body skimming top to off-set the looseness of the jean.

Les Halles Jeans Spring 2011 Lookbook

Les Halles was born of a couple’s creativity and denim design know-how back in the ’80s, and their re-launch in 2008 promises a new era for the next generation of the denim obsessed everywhere. Their spring 2011 lookbook is a careful, controlled (yet incredibly chic) example of how ’70s boho flare and clean, preppy styling can all meet somewhere in the middle with the right pair of jeans. With a solid family-foundation behind the design process (a family that designed for the likes of Guess and Jordache), Les Halles is definitely a line to watch, wear, and love.
