Pop quiz: did you get your perfect pair of black skinny jeans for fall yet? If not, check out one pair we’re really fond of right now. MC reviewed a pair of Jen7 skinny jeans in black to see how they held up during a busy day in NYC, and they passed the test. If you haven’t heard about the new bran Jen7 Jeans yet, you will soon. It’s a new line designed “by women, for women”, via 7 for All Mankind. Get the details on this pair, below.
What was your first thought when you tried them on?
My first thought was how versatile they are, being a pair of black skinny jeans and all. I loved how they fit with my favorite fall boots, and after pairing them with a ton of tops in my wardrobe, I feel confident I’ll be getting some good mileage out of them.
Where/when would you wear these?
These are the ideal wear-to-work jeans, because they’re both comfortable and sleek looking. You can dress them down for a chill day, add some killer heels for a night out, or pair them with a blazer for the office. Pieces that fit into my wardrobe need to pull their weight and function in more than one situation, and these jeans definitely pass the test.
How’s the fit?
Awesome! They didn’t stretch out or lose shape after a full day of wearing them on errand runs and meetings. I love how they look and feel, from waistband to ankle. One of the objectives of this line is to make women feel amazing in their jeans, and I think they’re on to something.

Enjoying our daily roundup of stylish videos from favorite denim brands? Here’s the latest installment from7 For All Mankind‘s video series entitled, “The Death of Natalie Wood” by James Franco. This fourth installment in the series put a smile on our face but also left a question mark at the end: what’s really going on here? Is this Franco’s re-imagined revenge fantasy of what went down the night of actress Natalie Wood’s drowning, or is it symbolic for the end of summer?
The party continues in the third installment of 7 for All Mankind‘s latest fashion campaign video, “Henry Hopper” by James Franco. If the face and the name seem familiar, he is indeed the son of legendary actor Dennis Hopper. That glimmer in his eye and the expressions he makes can only partially distract us from the fact he was styled in a denim shirt (unbuttoned, oh yes) in one scene, and a white denim jacket and neon sunnies à la ’80s style in another. We’re getting a little hot and bothered over here at Denim Therapy, and it isn’t the weather that’s causing it.
We’re totally grooving to the party beat in 7 For All Mankind‘s second fashion campaign video, “Birthday Party,” which features lots of cool party people celebrating a birthday party, California style. So even if the winter blues are getting to you, watch the video to escape and be transported to a warmer time, a spring and summer of endless partying in skimpy bikinis, denim cutoffs and unbuttoned chambray shirts; flipflops optional, and lampshade hats are provided.
