If you’re unfamiliar with raw denim, you might cringe at the thought of going months without washing your go-to pair of jeans, but that’s just what John did with his pair of Raleigh Denim‘s Keats Patchpocket Raw jeans. His fiance Lisa was there to capture that very first wash, coming after four months of everyday wear and bicycling to work, in a series of photographs called “Keats: Rinso Romantico.” This may not sound too exciting–until you realize this first wash involved jumping and swimming in El Salvador’s Coatepeque Lake (um, jealous), followed by a Rinso detergent scrub with a wide bristle brush. Kind of an epic way to wash your jeans for the first time, huh?
