The pastel pink background of the Chopper Jeans Spring 2011 lookbook is a nice compliment to the washed out tones in the collection, and we’re a sucker for candy pink—but the actual collection has us scratching our heads. The brand seems to want a bohemian edge, and that can certainly be found in more than one look, but there’s also a mod shift dress, skin-tight ’90s ensemble (a la Cindy Crawford), an early-2000′s cropped blazer/shorts combo, and then suddenly an urban hip-hop drop crotch pant. As not to hit a mark, there’s an of-the-moment pair of denim harem pants too.
There’s something for everyone, but that can be a real paradox when it comes to clothing branding and hooking a group of loyal customers who come to you for your brand’s unique DNA. See the full lookbook here.
