Portugal. The Man Rocks NYC and Imogene + Willie Jeans

We just showed you their fall 2012 lookbook, and now we’re showing you how Imogene + Willie looks in action! During their rainy, secret acoustic performance at the Lomography gallery store in the West Village Wednesday night, Portugal. The Man set up and played an amazingly crisp-sounding, intimate show for about fifty of their biggest fans. And, they were all decked out in denim, some from head to toe!

After the set, we spoke with bassist and back-up vocalist, Zach Carothers, who let us in on a dark secret of his: up until about a year ago, he would wear polyester for any and all occasions. Zach realized he wanted to make a change from the notoriously unbreathable fabric to his now-favorite material, denim, when he (and the rest of the band) discovered Imogene + Willie. In fact, Zach said every member of Portugal. The Man was wearing a pair of Imogene + Willie jeans that night. Talk about an endorsement!

Zach was also sporting a Penfield denim button-up chambray top with plaid detailing. Major points for the double denim, dude! Check out our photos below.
