Vintage inspired fashion site Nasty Gal just produced a lookbook entitled “Pump Up the Jam” to show us how we can work the denim jacket day and night, even if we’re doing nothing but hanging out at a friend’s house all weekend. Some images channel a bit of Terry Richardson/American Apparel in composition, but without the full-frontal poses. Do you dig the calf-high gym socks? Where else can you be yourself and rock those orange platform flats than at your boyfriend’s house?
Whether you’re waiting for the rest of the band to show up (we see hints that said boyfriend is in a band), or just snapping photos before heading out, Nasty Gal seems to have captured a moment in time when we can express ourselves freely through fashion.
