Levi’s Fall 2011 Press Preview on March 30th yielded some decidedly urban-friendly looks for the guys (commuting cyclist menswear, anyone?) and solid fall fashion separates like cut-off fitted denim shorts that end at the knee, classic denim jackets, cuffed cordoroys, and basic knit staples, some of which were inspired by the earthy South-Western landscape. The preview got a dose of quirk with an appearance by The bumby’s, Brooklyn’s latest performance art duo who sit in the corner and type “fair and honest appraisals” of attendees appearances as they are approached. Levi’s continues to stress their anti-sandblasting finish policy and their search for more eco-friendly denim innovations, while producing quality denim and clothing with substance.
