I love my Superfine jeans! They contour to your body like a second skin and have that punk rock edge that looks great with everything. It is not a surprise that Superfine has rocked many a worlds in the celebrity circuit from Sienna Miller to Scarlett Johannsson, who are among a few on their long fan club roster.
Flora Evans, a former photographer, and Lucy Pinter, a former stylist, merged together after realizing that they had parallel aesthetics for fashion. Known for their posh-meets-punk aesthetic with a fit that looks like liquid denim painted on (they are form-fitting to say the least), their recent dark and shiny colors that are sure to be snapped up by every trendsetter across the country and abroad.
The must-have staple piece for your denim wardrobe is the Weekend jean, with a faint kick-flare at the bottom, these jeans make you appear long and lean, so great for every body type. Recently they added the City jean, with a high waist and wide legs. Now, let’s not forget the blokes — they have an equally rockin’ men’s line with sexy styles such as the Bowery, Chase and a wicked chevron design in the Knight jean.
Superfine has recently collaborated with Phillip Treacy on hip hat styles, with designer Judy Blame on t-shirt designs and with Nick Egan, British film director, on a line of cotton tops. Watch out for the next trend to hit the streets, the wet-look denim and wax treatments. I saw them in plenty of lines for Fall 08/09 and at the Buckler show. Superfine has two styles that are sure to be flying out of the shelves: The Joey, with a metallic coating that gives skinnies a chic shine and the Marlow, a crisp boot-cut sure to be a fashionistas go to pair. Rock ’em girls and boys, because they are simply Superfine!
