Renee recently tried out a pair of Raven Caden Carrots in navy. To see some pictures and find out what she had to say (spolier: she loved them!) check out her post below.
What was your first thought when you tried them on?
They’re not quite denim, but a soft, medium-weight cotton in a classic navy. The name “Caden Carrot” was intimidating (carrot-shaped jeans are definitely not meant for my small-bottomed self), but I was pleasantly surprised by the fit.
Where/when would you wear these?
Rolled up, I’ll enjoy these relaxed-fit pants with sandals and some breezy crop tops and tees. A nice sheer button down would be a great way to take these to work.
How’s the fit?
They’re super comfortable, and can be worn low on the hips for a little bit of a drop-crotch look or pulled up for a more of a classic chino feel. Either way, they’re easy breezy.

Two of the biggest, boldest looks in denim this season are bright colors and jeans that are distressed and destroyed. We’ve seen everything from causal knee holes to seriously torn legs. But how do you decide where the line is — the line between fashionable frays and ferocious tears is a fine one, and Denim Therapy is here for you when you decide the holes are too holy or they just aren’t cool anymore. We can fix the smallest rips to providing complete rebuilding of your jeans, plus so much more. Take a look!
Last week we shared our photoshoot with Brooklyn DJ and fashion minx Haruka Salt. Now watch to see what her favorite denim brands are and get an even closer look into her Bed Stuy apartment (and closet). We showed her how to pair pastels with zebra print jeans and neon tank tops with vintage acid wash and now you can learn the tricks of the trade, too!

Alex Spencer is the Australian beauty starring in Car Mar (LF Store‘s new denim line)’s latest lookbook. The shoot takes place in Venice Beach and sums up a perfect lazy summer day, from toting a surf board through the streets to lounging around on the couch. Skateboards and beach houses are not forgotten, of course. The denim itself lends itself nicely to west coast lifestyle, but downtown east coast girls will be rocking it just as easily. Our favorites? A pair of destroyed peach cut-off shorts and a dip-dye bleached out workshirt.
The two worlds of fashion and food rarely collide, but the brains behind Naked & Famous Denim have linked the two with ease. Naked & Famous have created scratch and sniff jeans that lasts up to 5 washes. The idea is reminiscent of nostalgic scratch and sniff stickers from way back when. These radical and raw raspberry-infused denim come in the Weird Guy fit with a button fly. These jeans are certainly the ultimate conversation starter. Do you mind if we smell your pants?

1. A behind-the-scenes style video of James Franco‘s 7 For All Mankind ad campaign (more info here) shows him chasing west-coast frivolity across a dreamlike landscape, camera poised. Beach parties, girls kissing, balloons, sparklers, and jeans are the subject matter, and while that sounds like a peter pan syndrome-style birthday party, but the results are actually very enticing. Check it out here.
