Rawr Denim posted up a beginner’s guide to raw denim for women, including some brands to start you off, where to buy them, and a quick explanation on why it’s so hard to find women’s selvedge jeans:
“Many brands from all over the world now produce raw jeans specifically for women. Only a few of those jeans are made from selvedge denim, though. Men’s jeans are cut with a straight outseam, whereas women’s jeans are typically cut with a curve so as to provide a better fit. This makes it hard to cut women’s jeans along the straight edge and keep the selvedge.”

Spring and summer are peeking ’round the corner and we’re psyched too, but we also can’t help looking a little bit further into the future. And here’s a hint: the future looks shiny (in a totally non-obnoxious way!) Metallics are going to be big this fall, and Doctrine Denim has the perfect pair to round out your denim arsenal. These cropped skinny jeans are sexy enough for going out, but the metallic gold color tends towards the pearlescent rather than the in-your-face vibes of flashier metallic pieces. They’re way more versatile than you’d ever believe a pair of metallic skinnies could be, so make sure to grab them ASAP for an attention-grabbing (yet appropriate) take on work, play, and everything in-between!

The two worlds of fashion and food rarely collide, but the brains behind Naked & Famous Denim have linked the two with ease. Naked & Famous have created scratch and sniff jeans that lasts up to 5 washes. The idea is reminiscent of nostalgic scratch and sniff stickers from way back when. These radical and raw raspberry-infused denim come in the Weird Guy fit with a button fly. These jeans are certainly the ultimate conversation starter. Do you mind if we smell your pants?
