A twist of humor is added too—the lookbook includes recipes for the perfect fried egg and homemade hot cocoa. And aren’t those the exact things you would want if you were snowed in with your BFFs in a mansion on a cold winter afternoon? We think yes.
We’re into low-effort, no-effort style, being busy New Yorkers and all, but that doesn’t mean we’re prepared to sacrifice style for convenience. That’s why we’re totally in love with the newest line released from premium denim brand Joe’s Jeans, “Off Duty“. The capsule collection “combines comfort with the chic street-styles seen in Milan, Paris and New York,” and it doesn’t miss the mark. Who doesn’t want to capture the style of a chic model between shows, or a stylish celebrity strolling through the airport? The collection’s legging selection translate directly into comfort and that casual-cool look we’re always chasing.
“Our Off Duty collection is all about combining fashion with function. It’s a chic and edgy take on activewear for the busy girl-on-the-go,” commented Joe Dahan, founder and creative director. Shop this collection at JoesJeans.com, and check out the super cute lookbook below.

We can’t say we’re huge fans of Lily Allen‘s overall look in this snap, recently taken in New York, but we do admire the fact that she’s keeping the 90s Brit-rave vibe alive with her purple hair and bold red plaid (and platforms, natch). Still, the jeans she’s wearing caught our attention. Black skinny jeans are a fall style staples no matter which way you spin it. If you need a pair, grab some now.

When it comes to rise, we like ours high. High-rise jeans have been a constant on our denim shopping wishlist since before we can remember (including our mother’s Gasoline jeans from the 70s, which we wore to middle school with pride). It’s nice to see celebs like Jessica Alba wearing this incredible chic style so effortlessly (grab a similar pair of jeans here). She’s seen here in a casual look, having paired the jeans with a long knit cardigan sweater and brimmed hat. The brown leather belt is the finishing touch that makes this look a put together ensemble.

We’re always looking for ways to make our favorite style cues feel fresh, and we love when we stumble across a trend-setter who is doing exactl that. Style blogger Aimee of SwellMayde pairs her Levi’s Women’s 501 Jeans (grab a similar pair here) with a chambray button-down top and lace tank, creating a double denim look with a bit of elegance. In another look, she switches out the chambray for a super seasonal plaid shirt. See both looks below, and check out the original post for more images.

In the ongoing argument against skinny jeans, you may not be so quick to jump on the mom jean bandwagon. But what about a 90s-tastic take on the classic baggy jean? You know, the kind you were once strongly encouraged to pull up around your butt during middle school? Well it’s back with a chic new twist. Honestly WTF tracked recent occurrences of this trend and there are more than just a few. It looks like the baggy jean is back. Will you be wearing it this fall?

Question: What’s cooler than a pair of light wash, flawlessly distressed jeans that fit like a glove and go with everything in your fall wardrobe? Answer? Nothing. MC recently received a pair of American Eagle Outfitters Sky High Jeggings from the AE vintage collection, and… well, she hasn’t taken them off ever since. These jeans are AE’s newest fit (and their highest rise, which we love), designed to look like a pair of well-worn vintage jeans, with all the comfort of a denim legging.
What was your first thought when you tried them on?
Where/when would you wear these?
For me, these are the ultimate fall jeans. The sitting-in-coffee-shops, lattes-and-laptops, cozy-on-a-cool day jeans. I’ll be wearing them with my favorite oversize sweaters as often as with my tailored fall jackets. There’s enough distressed action happening above the knee for them to look awesome with knee-high boots, too.
And by the way, they come in 6 washes, so go ahead and try not to find a pair you can’t live without.
How’s the fit?
The high rise is exactly where I want it, and the ankles taper in perfectly. One pet peeve of mine is having too much fabric at the hem (which a bit of Denim Therapy’s hemming and tailoring can take care of), but I love when I try on a pair of jeans and this issue is pre-solved for me.
