Buffalo David Bitton Nails Fall Trends With Animal Print, Colored Denim & More


Buffalo David Bitton delivers a mix of key trends and undisputed classics for both sexes in their latest fall/winter denim delivery. Women can choose between traditional styles like medium-wash skinny and mid-rise flare—or they can go for more festive fare, like metallic snakeskin ankle-zip jeans or autumnal yellow colored denim. Men are likewise treated to traditional selections in classic washes… but the more fashion-forward gents can score a pair of saturated teal skinnies. We’re favoring the latter. Other coveted styles include abstract and animal prints and carefully cultivated washes. It’s not easy to choose, but here’s one thing we’re sure of: Buffalo David Bitton is stepping up their denim game. Are you in?

Agave Denim Men’s & Women’s Fall 2012 Lookbooks


Agave Denim released their men’s and women’s fall 2012 lookbooks, featuring their usual spectrum of rich colors in innovative fabrications. What sets this release apart is that it’s Agave’s 10th anniversary, for which the husband and wife design team drew inspiration from the 1960s and the Olympics in Squaw Valley, CA.

Some highlights in the men’s collection include the Nihilist slim fit, Harp and Maverick limited edition selvedge styles, and a new bootcut, aptly named Bootist. Fabrications include kaihara and kuroki denim, as well as non-denim luxury fabrics like “Wolf Canvas” (100% cotton italian yarndyed canvas with rinse finish) and “Mad Plaid” (100% Italian moleskin  with rinse finish).

Some highlights from the women’s line include the Tomboy skinny boyfriend fit jean, the slouchy Peace Corps trouser, and the Sophia high-rise pencil skirt. Fabrics are overdyed in a fall color palette with hues like Picante, Hunter Green,Tapioca, Pewter, Otter, and Rose dawn. An innovative indigo denim that has the look of raw, but a more comfortable hand, has also been introduced.

Analog Clothing Q&A And Lookbook


Men’s lifestyle brand Analog Clothing focuses on introducing innovative approaches to style and function in skate, surf, and snowboard culture. Their signature Wheel Wash process has made waves in men’s denim as a treatment technique. We had a chance to ask the brand a few questions. Check them out, along with the latest lookbook, below.

Denim Therapy: Let’s start at the beginning: tell us the creation story of the brand and how it got off the ground.

Analog Clothing: We were part of Burton’s elite outerwear development “style lab” and evolved into a 4 season apparel brand from there.

DT: How do you differentiate yourself from other denim brands out there right now?

AC: Wheel Wash.

DT: Does your team have any pre-design rituals?

AC: Whiskey drinking.

DT: What are some of the stand-out fits/washes in the line right now?

AC: Anything Wheel Wash.

DT: Is your brand influenced by the massive popularity of style bloggers and street style?

AC: We’re influenced by the things we love to do and the athletes we support.

DT: Tell us a bit about your ideal target customer.

AC: 20 something individual with creative sophistication, who appreciates art, music and cultural influences, over a fine glass of Jameson while having a whole lot of fun with pretty girls.

DT: What would your dream collaboration be?

AC: We’re doing it already. Jason Bleick / Wheel Wash, we collaborate with our end consumers.

DT: What’s next for Analog?

AC: Fall 2013. Top secret.

Back To School With Superdry’s Varsity-Cool FW12 Lookbook


Superdry‘s fall 2012 lookbook is rich with big, bold varsity numbers and the collegiate-tomboy style the brand is known for, from clean cuffed boyfriend jeans (for both sexes) to chunky knits, tailored wool coats, and fun pieces for layering. We hard for the men’s brown leather bomber jacket and the plaid color ways the boys get to choose from. Just remember ladies… stealing your man’s shirt is always an option!.

Paper Bags = Hot New Accessory? Ziggy Says Yes For FW12


When you think hot fall accessory, you probably don’t immediately think “gotta get one of those fresh paper bags and put it on my head!” But that’s the concept Ziggy Denim had for their fall 2012 lookbook… and we’re very amused. Other “accessories” included body paint, firefighter hats, and blow-up guitars. Ziggy Denim takes pride in creating the comfiest jeans around, from cords to chinos, and they sell their styles for under $100.

Joe’s Jeans Summer 2012: Bold Prints Meets Laid Back Fashion


If you recall, Denim Therapy covered Joe’s Jeans’ Spring Lookbook, and now their Summer Lookbook featuring jeans for women and men are out.  Instead of pastels, expect to see more color variations in the collection, such as deeper earthen tones, large floral, bleached out and rocker-chic printed jeans.  We’re already a bit obsessed with their ikat printed jeans for women, even as the men’s jeans remain relatively tame by comparison.  However, a stand out is a brown jean that will insert itself into the male consciousness soon enough.  Check out the gallery to view some of our favorite picks.

Tears Of Bleu is a new denim brand on the scene in the states (originally from Japan, conceptualized via classic British tailoring techniques) that isn’t afraid to show their colors. American Eagle Debuts Fall 2012 Campaign Featuring Shay Mitchell


Winter is starting to look brighter: American Eagle will feature 15 young stars in its new Fall 2012 ad campaign, entitled, “Live Your Life”.  Heading the line-up is Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell.  The campaign emphasizes the brand’s focus on individual style and truly living your life in American Eagle denim.  Check out the behind-the-scenes photos, where Shay is wearing American Eagle’s new Skinny Kick jeans ($49.50), in stores in July.  Throughout the summer, American Eagle will continue to unveil the additional 14 guys and girls in the campaign.
