Last time we linked up with Kuro, they showed us a gradient of denim washed, aged, and treated for different lengths of time, and told us the best way to wear distressed vintage jeans was with a tailored blazer and a crisp, clean button-down. Sound advice that doesn’t expire, it turns out, since we ran into them this week and they were keeping with their vintage meets tailored aesthetic. “Denim for the Yohji fan,” they explained, showing us a dapper mannequin outfitted in the customer image. We’ve seen flowers, we’ve seen paisley…heck, we’ve even seen skeletons prancing on printed jeans! So it’s super refreshing when a brand comes out with a unique take on a done-to-death trend (not that we’re tired of it). Big Star USA released a pair of very charming jeans for spring that feature a smattering of colorful birds on white denim. Understated in a cartoon-y way, they’d be a flawless match for a white silk button-down top or a tailored navy blazer.
