During our visit to the Henry & Belle showroom to see the spring 2013 line, we were introduced to Henry & Belle’s wonderful new charity program, aimed at giving back to communities in need around the world. It’s called The Right Amount of Give, and it’s a program designed to create connections between the customer’s and the recipients of the company’s charitable donations. “We wanted to give our customers the opportunity to have a say in how and where we donate and keep them informed about how they’re helping us change people’s lives”, says Rob Mann, Henry & Belle’s founder.
In addition to allowing its customers to have a say in where the company donates, Right Amount of Give offers Henry & Belle’s customers the option to receive updates directly from recipients about how the company’s donations are affecting them, bringing the idea of giving back full circle. Once you purchase your jeans and log onto the site you’ll be greeted with these instructions:
“With every sale of Henry & Belle, a portion is set aside for charitable causes—your purchase code gives you a voice in how we give. Once you’ve chosen a cause, we can send you updates from the recipients. Your voice matters. So, choose with care.”
By participating in a simple 3 step process, the customer has the opportunity to be a part of Henry & Belle’s story and give their style an extra sense of purpose.
Visit Henry & Belle now to pick your favorite pair of jeans and give to a good cause. We did, and it felt great.

We love the “less is more” design philosophy, especially when it comes to jeans. It’s always refreshing to find a pair of jeans free of bells-and-whistles, that emphasize beautiful fit, carefully selected fabrics, and artisanal washes. Eugene Is My Middle Name is one of those brands, and their fall/winter 2012 lookbook features some gorgeous brights for the cold weather season. If you’ve been hesitant to wear light wash denim, white jeans, or metallics in the past, these styles should help you tip the scales in the other direction.
See four of our favorite looks below, including a pair of hand-sanded Italian denim ombre skinnies, bleached-out light wash, gold metallic hand-gilded and Japanese cotton jeans.

It’s time to refill your wardrobe with new items from the Nudie Jeans Fall/Winter 2012 Injection: A Twist Of Black. It just launched on the webshop and select retailers in the US. There are three new organic denim fabrics available only at Nudie Jeans and used exclusively for this Injection collection. All three washes are experimental with the mixology of black and indigo. Washing, bleaching and tints have transformed the indigo denim into distinctive different shades, all sharing a signature streakiness. Denim shirts are made in 13,5 oz. rigid denim washed and bleached. Knitted sweaters with intertwined yarns and over-dyed, printed tees. The collection reflects its namesake – twisted, streaky and dark.

Buffalo David Bitton delivers a mix of key trends and undisputed classics for both sexes in their latest fall/winter denim delivery. Women can choose between traditional styles like medium-wash skinny and mid-rise flare—or they can go for more festive fare, like metallic snakeskin ankle-zip jeans or autumnal yellow colored denim. Men are likewise treated to traditional selections in classic washes… but the more fashion-forward gents can score a pair of saturated teal skinnies. We’re favoring the latter. Other coveted styles include abstract and animal prints and carefully cultivated washes. It’s not easy to choose, but here’s one thing we’re sure of: Buffalo David Bitton is stepping up their denim game. Are you in?

Industry innovators Hudson Jeans are taking printed denim to the next level by using Photoreal imagery in a range of digitally printed jeans. Sounds amazing, right? It is. As you see in the prints below, they’re blowing past brands using repeated floral patterns and animal prints by working with full blown landscapes and intricate gradients. ”Prints are everywhere, so we wanted to find a new technique that would allow us to be more aspirational and forward,” Hudson creative director Ben Taverniti told Style.com.
These babies will be available at Hudson Jeans on February 28th. Mark your calendars.

XOJane contributor Tynan Sinks experienced a denim-lover’s worst nightmare: after being knocked unconscious in a casual accident and whisked away to the hospital, the doctors took sheers to his first pair of raw denim jeans. We just heard all of you gasp. We think he sums it up best: “Thanks for saving my life and all, DOCTORS, but would it have killed you to show my jeans the same courtesy?”
Devastated that his favorite jeans were unwearable, he was almost ready to give them a proper burial. Before that, he decided to give Denim Therapy’s expert denim repair services a go. No surprises… we restored those jeans to their former glory!
Check out his highly amusing and informative Denim Therapy review. It’s worth a read even if you know what we’re about. And if you need your jeans repaired, we’ll help you out with that too.
