Miranda Kerr reminds us that sex sells, and it sells denim, even when she’s not wearing any pants! The Victoria’s Secret model wore Bluemarine denim in a Vogue Italia spread, sporting bleach blonde hair with blunt bangs and never too many articles of clothing at once. In one shot she appears topless in a vest, while in another, she goes bottomless. The thing is, she’s selling women’s jeans. Does this make you want to shop, ladies? Let us know on facebook or sound off on twitter.

Happy Halloween from the DT family! Remember to stay safe tonight if you’re going out for Halloween, especially if you’re living in or near the path of destruction Hurricane Sandy left for us. That was definitely a trick, not a treat—our offices have been closed for days thanks to her wrath. But still, have fun and enjoy!
We want to see your costumes and whatever crazy thing you forced your pet to wear! Tweet at us or post your creative costumes on our facebook wall.
Stay spooky!

When we stopped by CLOSED to preview their spring 2013 line, one pair of jeans immediately stood out from the rest in the spectrum of Euro-chic rockstar-ready denim and knitwear. A pair of printed purple jeans with a beautiful motif that looks as if it was snatched right out of a Japanese anime (or a Yakuza tattoo parlor). The dynamic design was also available in a jacket. We’re pretty sure this is the beginning of a next-level trend in printed jeans that really transform the silhouette and infuse some imagination into the kind of prints we’ve already been seeing. You saw it here first!
Look out for the full CLOSED preview, coming soon.

Confession: mustard yellow is one of our favorite hues this season. It’s a divine compliment to oxblood red and looks so good with jewel tones (we have an Ann Taylor Loft cardigan we literally cannot stop wearing). Taylor Swift seems to be of a similar mindset. She stepped out in London wearing a pair of AG Adriano Goldschmied Polka Dot Cords and a mustard yellow cardigan recently, Starbucks in hand. Confession: we love pumpkin spice lattes too.

Oh, it’s a very happy hour! This fall, everyone has gone crazy over the jewel tone fashion trend, which means that colored jeans is sticking around for at least another season or two. Which is why we at Denim Therapy couldn’t be more happy than to embrace some retail therapy to get in on the colored denim train, all for under $100. Even better, we found really cute jeans for under $50. Paired against some neutral base, such as a white or black top, your jeans can take you places. Hurry… shop now to snag the deal and wear these babies next week!

Lady Gaga was spotted wearing a denim bra with a pair of denim cut-off shorts (looking similar to Rihanna’s iconic denim bra moment). Curiously she was not shooting a music video in this get-up, just going to lunch with some friends in the south of France. She looks a little awkward strolling casually in an outfit like this, but she’s never been one to conform, sooo… good for her?

We’re crushing hard on Moscow style blogger and personal shopper Alexandra Osina (of Styled By Alexandra) ‘s fall denim look right now. She mixes denim shorts, jackets, and skirts with unexpected pieces and to create quirky, flirty autumn ensembles that get awesome marks across the board. Check out her recent outfits below and get a quick lesson in her unique approach to denim styling.
.
The look: Sweater with medium-above-the-knee denim skirt
Where to wear it: Cute look for the office and a meeting over coffee with a client.
Tip: Hem lengths are key in pulling this off. The skirt should fall above the knees (but no shorter) and the sweater should fall just below the waistline (but not shorter). The fullness of the skirt keeps things casual and chic.
.
The Look: Denim sequined shorts with denim workshirt & tights
Where to wear it: A great look for shopping and hanging out with friends.
Tip: Switch the playful coat for a sharp blazer for a night-friendly look.
.
The Look: Denim workshirt over flirty lace dress and denim leggings
Where to wear it: Perfect for date night!
Tip: When the weather gets colder, mix in a faux-fur stole and metallic jewelry.

Have you noticed that the denim jacket is back? When you see style icon Katie Holmes wearing the denim jacket so much, such as this Current/Elliott “The Snap” denim jacket on at least three separate occasions, it sort of makes you think about that jeans jacket you’ve got tucked away in your closet. We like Katie’s jacket because it is a slim and trim cropped jeans jacket that doesn’t take over her entire look. What do you think? Do you prefer a cropped style or something looser fitting?
