One look at the Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2011 ad campaign and there is no doubt that this is fine Italian fashion. The jeans are a classic blue wash with whisker detailing, and when paired with patent leather shoes, a blazer, and a vest, looking sharp is not an option, but a given. This ad makes guys want to be in these jeans and girls want to be wherever that motorcycle is headed to.

As summer comes to a close, we’re having a hard time accepting the fact that we will soon have to retire our beloved denim cutoffs and midriff baring tops. On a brighter note, the fall season is fast approaching, and while we would love to bask in the sun all day, we must admit it feels good to welcome the crisp clean autumn air. Not to mention the return of trench coats, knit sweaters, boots and darker/richer color denim; key essentials that every fall wardrobe needs. But until the time comes for you to make the change, transition your beloved denim high-waisted shorts from summer to fall by pairing it with a pussy bow blouse (as shown below). For cooler days throw on a pair of opaque tights under shorts to keep your legs warm. And if shorts aren’t your thing dress up a pair of your favorite bell bottoms jeans with an ultra cool 70’s ruffled shirt for a retro-chic effect. Who knew seasonal changes could be this easy?!

Plaids are all the rage for fall, and Pudel has got the trend down to a tee. Their latest collection features a wide selection of denim pieces from skirts to jackets and jeans detailed with the perfect 90s-esque plaid. And if that isn’t enough to totally satisfy our grunge cravings, then a dose of tie dye dark denim and cable knit sweaters will certainly do the trick. Check out the men’s and women’s lookbook below.

Here at Denim Therapy, we love to see super moms such as Victoria Beckham, create and conquer it all before dinner time. Case in point, Ms. Beckham has successfully managed to change a couple of diapers, cook dinner for her hunk of a husband Mr. Beckham, all while conquering the fashion world one design at a time. Cleverly and might we say extremely business savvy, Ms. Beckham has maintained the upkeep of her luxury denim brand, Victoria Beckham Denim, and for that we salute her. This upcoming fall/winter season, the signature skinnies and cropped skinnies are joined by a clean bootcut and a slim boyfriend. Colors are also muted with aubergine, lavendar and green, and detailing such as zips and insert panels are kept subtle. If this doesn’t speak women power in all volumes we don’t know what else will.

Whether you want skinny jeans or the more casual boyfriend cut, Washborn has the denim you want. The best part about this Korean line is the price of their premium denim—all under $100! That is one deal that cannot be argued with, especially after taking a look at the different washes and cuts of their denim shorts, jeans, and skirts. We love how they make all the pieces fall-friendly by suggesting to pair the warm-weather items with opaque tights. They may have just made their mark on U.S. soil, but with quality clothing like this they are sure to be around for quite some time!

After taking a look at the Autumn/Winter 2011 collection lookbook from Blackbarrett by Neil Barrett, the denim is what really wows us (surprise surprise we know, but it is truly amazing!). While almost all the other looks are completely in grey scale, the denim is full of contrast and detail, but in a much more fashion-forward way than we are used to seeing. There is a denim work shirt and matching jean that has a light wash on one side and then more of a distressed darker wash on the other leg (check out a more classic version of this shirt here). While together these two items would definitely be too overwhelming, the lookbook demonstrates how well they work when paired with more monotone clothing. There is also an awesome pair of dark denim jeans with distressed light wash denim stripes going down the leg. Talk about a making a statement! (And you can deny it all you want but when it comes to fashion, what’s the point if your not making a statement?)

This winter, All Saints will join in the ranks of fashion brands that have taken the military trend and reinterpreted it for the dead of winter. Merchant Marine chic never looked so good. Whatever the case may be, All Saints sure know how to build a wardrobe around black jeans. Combining the brand’s signature denim staples of drop-crotch and skinny jeans for men and women, All Saints sticks to what they do best: make you look rock ‘n’ roll through the seasons. Be on the lookout for a brand new collection of corduroy jeans, alongside leather jackets, over-sized knits and polished wool coats.
