C’est magnifique! It makes total sense that Elle France produces a special fashion editorial focused on and styled around jeans. After all, denim came from France. Styled in various popular looks of the day, from Goth to Boho to Biker chic, a girl could really get inspired to take her daily style up a knotch. Of course, the models sport some of the most coveted statement pieces on everyone’s lips right now: The Prada espadrilley lace-up platform loafers, a Balmain ultra studded leather jacket; and a Balenciaga pouch accented by trendy tassels. Oh, and the jeans featured include are an international assortment, both well-known and French denim brands: Armani Jeans, Diesel, Hilfiger Denim, J Brand, Liu-Jo (Italy), Comptoir des Cotonniers (France) and Kaporal (France).

JFK to LAX (or vice versa) is the big denim hub spotter for celebs. Zac Efron is the latest to be caught on the lens in a pair of super cool Diesel jeans. He spent the last two weeks filming “New Years Eve”, and looked a bit tired (though chic!) as he made his way through the terminal. He was wearing a knit cardigan, ripped Diesel Thavar 8ne slim jeans, sunglasses and a black beanie.

DT favorite Sasha Pivovarova flaunts bohemia spring trends in the newest installment of Free People‘s catalog. A brand known for infusing feathers, tiered skirts, and florals in their looks, this Russian super model pulls their off without a hitch, and is awarded some camera time with a white baby tiger (see last photo—we know there’s no denim, but we couldn’t leave it out). Items that caught our attention were these incredible flare-leg grungetastic jeans and a pair of cargo cut-off shorts.

Looking for a way to spice up your denim collection? Nasty Gal has a few ideas, one of which is this sassy cropped bustier in patchwork denim, dubbed the Shakuhachi Patch Denim Bustier. It’s partially lined with hidden snap closures, straps, and belt loops. Bohemian brand Shakuhachi is known for less-structured, flowing sheer skirts as of late, but they’ve impressed us with this flirty piece. Want more good news? Right now they’re giving away a free denim tote bag with each order at their official site! (Note that this offer does not apply to the nasty gal site.)

Score this denim bustier at Nasty Gal for $168. Like the cut-off shorts? Those are up for grabs too! Images via Nasty Gal.

Sometimes, rich kids get the perks. In this case the rich kid is Heidi Klum, and the perk is a her Fall 2011 Leather Patch Jeans by Jet by John Eshaya (they haven’t been released to the general public yet). The combination of leather and denim is as in as it gets, and gives the skinny jean silhouette a bit more oomph. She completed her look with a monochrome zebra-print top and a shot of neon in her scarf. Her tote bag (big enough to carry whatever she and her little angel need) is a vibrant red to finish off the look. But nothing says “I’m a mom and nothing’s gonna stop me!” like her rockin’ black high-top sneakers. Take a hint, ladies. It’s not always about heels!

If you’ve been with us for a while now you know that we love a modern take on western style, and not just because it involves denim. Okay, perhaps that’s part of it, but what we really dig about the current approach to the classic look is the bohemian edge infused into it. This is exactly what we get in this editorial from the latest edition of Marie Claire shot by David Roemer and starring model Hartje Andresen. The editorial features perfectly styled denim looks including everything from a modern wide-leg denim trouser, earthy denim short shorts, and even a trendy short-sleeve denim jacket that’s perfect for summer. Leather jackets with fringe details and a heavy dose of turquoise adorned jewelry finish off the perfect western bohemian look.

Men’s upscale e-tailer Mr Porter just produced a slide show featuring five different ways that men can wear their denim jeans. The menswear site (which is very much akin to a style concierge) scouted a strapping 26-year-old print designer named David Bradley from South London, to model all different looks. We like Mr Porter’s turn on a Look Book-meets-catalog shoot, showing real people in some of the world’s most popular jeans.

Kate Moss took a break from the catwalks to strut her stuff (denim stuff!) all over the streets of Paris… Ooh La La! Here she’s seen rocking Siwy denim (one of our fav brands) in the Hannah Slim Crop Outlaw wash. She paired her jeans with a black leather trench, black tee, black motorcycle boots, and black ray bans for a touch of classic cool. Kate added a hint of metallic with her long gold chain necklace and a Chanel bag with chain handles. A true beauty with flecks of luxury.
