Does this mean we’ll be seeing a lot more of these “body bra” jeans on the market? Not Your Daughter’s Jeans — whose trademark Tummy Tuck Jeans are well-known — have already planted themselves firmly in the mainstream market via Nordstrom, the upscale retail department store chain. I’ll take that in a 26B, please…

Edwin is returning to the U.S. market this fall after a two year absence, due to the exchange rate between the yen and the dollar. A new partnership with The Foundation, a New york based sales and distribution partner, will help Edwin to relaunch in the U.S. with their first men’s denim collection.
The men’s collection consists of four fits, from slim to a traditional straight leg. Washes range from raw to full vintage looks, with many styles featuring Edwin’s signature buckle-back detail. All produced in Japan, prices will range from $225 to $300, with special product embellished with sterling silver hardware going as high as $700.
???We wanted to launch with the brand??™s top-of-the-line Japanese product. As time goes by, we??™ll bring prices down by bringing in some product that isn??™t made in Japan,??? noted Langsdorf, a partner of The Foundation (WWD).
Edwin will be available in 75 specialty stores in August, including Bergdorf Goodman Men, Scoop, Atrium, American Rag and Fred Segal Man, as well as Revolveclothing.com and four Bloomingdale’s locations. Otherwise, Edwin jeans for both men and women are available on-line at international websites such as ASOS, YOOX, Cooshti, and Stuarts London.
Perhaps this is the next logistical step from the current urban safari trend, Australian denim brand Nobody Jeans is adding their own twist — make that print — to their jeans. Hand painted jeans have come and go; and, now, they’re back.

From Dazed Digital:

Following the recent launch of their 10th Anniversary Collection, Australian denim brand Nobody are introducing their new #CLASH Collection. Focusing on flawless fits and innovative washes, Nobody have maintained their popularity by drawing inspiration from unexpected sources and playing with the exploration of identity. Kim Kardashian Swarmed By Fans Out In Miami.
One of the reasons why we love our jeans so much is that it is comfortable and generally pieced together with functional yet classic details: belt loops, non-obtrusive functional back and front pockets, and the shape-structuring back yoke. Now, imagine if all of those elements came into play within an even more comfortable fabric? Tag Elements is the new knits collection, created by Designer and Owner, Orly Dahan.
DT: What is the inspiration behind the weaving technology? Is it a stronger fabric?
OD: The Elements line is made with double-knit stretch with a special finish, unique to Tag, that form fits comfortably without becoming loose or compromising the shape.
DT: Any celebrities or VIPs wearing Tag Elements?
OD: Celebrity moms including Mel B and Kelly Rutherford are fans of the collection, along with the American Idol finalists, including Crystal Bowersox.
“After working in the premium denim market, we used our knowledge of a perfect-fitting pant and created Tag Elements. The line is favorable for women as the varying silhouettes flatter every shape.” – Orly Dahan
I tried on the bootcut in charcoal gray, and I couldn’t believe how luxurious it felt. It’s actually a fairly slim, straight leg with a slight bootcut opening. They were as comfy as my favorite yoga pants, but dressier. The Tag Elements collection works very well for the svelte figure, with a bootcut option that could work well with most shapes. If you need something cozy to slip into while your fave jeans are being workshopped by Denim Therapy, then I would definitely put Tag Elements on my short list of comfy, sophisticated surrogates.
Pros: Extra stretchy and smooth hand feel. No panty line show!
Cons: Ultra low-rise waistband which can hit awkwardly at the hip bone.
Overall: A great basic wardrobe staple you can wear all day.
Tag Elements can be found online and are also sold in select Bloomingdale’s locations nationwide.
“I just got my jeans back and I am ELATED! I can’t believe just how good they look. You guys are the best – thank you, thank you, thank you!!”
Brittany (February 2010)

Calling all 24 hour shopping people! Zac Posen’s Target Go International collection will be launching for a 24-hour shopping spree event-cum-party at 481 Eighth Avenue and 34th Street tonight at 11pm. The entire collection will be available until Friday, 11pm, that is, if it doesn’t sell out first. My favorite pieces are the brocade tie-dress, ruched black pencil skirt and floor-length tropical gown, all retailing for under $80! Otherwise, Posen??™s collection is due in Target stores and on target.com April 25th.
With Target??™s muscle, Posen was able to work with top talent on the advertising and marketing campaign for Zac Posen for Target. Ellen von Unwerth photographed the campaign. ???We got funding to make a short film with Gia Coppola,??? he said. ???I wanted to be very involved in the whole brand image.??? The film follows the girl band The Like as they dress ??” in Zac Posen for Target ??” in a hotel room before a concert. There??™s a Fifties quality to their hair and makeup ??” no surprise, since Coppola said she was inspired by old footage of the Beatles. (WWD)
Not a lot of denim pieces, but here are two denim looks that are part of the collection, very cute, yes?
