The owners of Brooklyn Denim Company, a new jeans-and-more shop, took the rare optimistic approach. D.I.Y. CHLOE S/S 10 – PATCHWORK DENIM

I love most things Chloe, but not all things Chloe.  I generally leave an open mind about fashion, but I’m not too crazy about the latest denim looks from Chloe’s Spring/Summer 2010 Collection.  The patchwork denim ensemble — not phrases we like to repeat here at Denim Therapy — seen at left, looks great on the model, err, the model makes the ensemble look great.  Kudos goes to Erica Domesek for her D.I.Y effort.  I am inspired to create my own runway-inspired looks now, if only to rid my mind from the images of hobos drying their laundry on clotheslines by the railroad tracks.

Denim Finds: Target + Liberty of London


When I attended Target’s first pop-up shop initiative in 2008 titled Bullseye Bodegas with featured limited edition fashion collaborations with designers: Anya Hindmarch, Sigerson Morrison, Jonathan Saunders and Converse, I decided, going forward, that I would wait until it hit stores for a calmer shopping experience. It was sheer mayhem!

Well, who would have known that the Target + Liberty of London’s pop-up shop would sell out by their second day forcing them to close up shop that evening.  Oh woe is me, I never had a fighting chance to purchase the lovely Liberty of London bicycle that I so wanted.  The limited offerings are now available on-line and in participating Target stores, but buyer beware, not a whole lot left.  Oh woe is me.

It’s a fun fashion music video, shot in NYC and featuring Rag & Bone designers David Neville, Marcus Wainwright and model Lily Aldridge.
