Zara, the Spanish label that comes out with wallet-friendly collections season after season of the most up-to-date trends. As a big fan of Zara, along with H&M, Topshop and Uniqlo, I love stocking up on great pieces for a nice mixture of a high-low wardrobe .
Zara’s collection is inspired by high-end design houses such as Lanvin, Balmain and Yves Saint Laurent, to name a few. For F/W09, the line offers Balmain inspired peak shoulder jackets, fall furs in gilets, vest coats and jackets, voluminous coats a la Louis Vuitton and YSL inspired slacks. I also took a better look at their denim line for the first time.
Keeping up with the trend of boyfriend, moto, stone washed, sand blasted and legging jeans, all were in the mix. Great cut-off shorts and skirts that barely skimmed the “do not bend over” derrier line. Cute motorcycle denim jackets in cropped and waist length. One item that caught my eye, enough for me to moon walk back to it, was an acid washed denim vest with pyramid stud embellishments. I quickly envisioned myself rocking it with my Margiela jumpsuit and Chanel wedges. Prices for jeans ranged from $39.90 to $99.00.
Now boys, I haven’t forgotten about you. The men’s line is chock full of great denim pieces all in the same price range. Ranging from skinny to the traditional relaxed fit, three great denim pieces available was a sporty denim jacket, motorcycle jacket and a sharp denim tuxedo jacket with satin lapels.
